By Wellness Hub
Last Updated: August 22, 2026
If you are looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist job in Hyderabad where your work can make an impact both inside and beyond the therapy room, Wellness Hub is hiring.
We are looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary child development team at our centre in KPHB Phase 9, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Occupational Therapist who wants to combine hands-on pediatric therapy with early intervention, family coaching, multidisciplinary collaboration and the opportunity to contribute clinical expertise to BASICS, our child development ecosystem.
Whether you already have pediatric OT experience or are an exceptional fresh graduate with strong pediatric clinical training, this opportunity is designed for therapists who want to keep developing their clinical skills while helping make quality developmental support more accessible to families.

About Wellness Hub
Wellness Hub is a multidisciplinary child development practice and technology company based in Hyderabad.
Our clinical team brings together professionals from occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioral therapy, special education and psychology, supported by technology and design teams working on tools for children, parents and practitioners.
Our aim is to connect what happens during professional therapy with what families are able to carry into everyday life.
One part of that work is BASICS, a child development ecosystem that provides structured, therapist-designed activities, demonstrations and guidance that parents can use at home.
BASICS supports developmental areas including communication, occupational therapy, social-emotional learning, daily living skills, oral motor development and other early childhood skills.
For an Occupational Therapist joining Wellness Hub, this means your clinical expertise can influence both the children you work with directly and the resources being developed for families outside the therapy centre.
What Will You Do as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist?
Your primary responsibility will be providing thoughtful, individualized occupational therapy to children with different developmental, sensory, motor and functional needs.
The role includes assessment, intervention planning, direct therapy, parent collaboration, progress documentation and teamwork with professionals from other child development disciplines.
Assess Each Child’s Individual Needs
You will conduct appropriate standardized and informal occupational therapy assessments to understand each child’s strengths, challenges and functional needs.
Assessment may examine areas such as:
- Fine motor development
- Bilateral coordination
- Sensory processing
- Motor planning
- Visual-motor skills
- Functional play
- Self-care skills
- Activities of daily living
- Participation in everyday routines
The purpose of assessment is not simply to generate a score.
It is to understand what is making everyday participation difficult for the child and identify meaningful therapy goals.
Create Individualized, Goal-Based Intervention Plans
Children do not need identical therapy simply because they share a diagnosis or developmental concern.
You will use your clinical observations and assessment findings to create intervention plans based on each child’s individual abilities, needs and functional goals.
Therapy may involve helping a child develop better hand function, participate more independently in self-care, improve coordination, navigate sensory experiences, plan movements or participate more successfully in play and everyday activities.
Goals should remain meaningful to the child and relevant to daily life.
Deliver Hands-On Pediatric Occupational Therapy
A major part of the role is direct clinical work with children.
You will design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate occupational therapy sessions while continually observing how the child responds.
Strong clinical reasoning is important.
If an activity is not helping a child move toward a meaningful goal, the answer is not simply to repeat it.
You should be comfortable adapting the activity, environment, level of assistance or therapeutic approach according to the child’s needs.
That ability to observe, reason and adapt is one of the qualities we value most in a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
Support Children With Sensory Processing Needs
Working knowledge of sensory integration and sensory processing is important for this role.
Children may respond differently to sound, movement, touch, textures, body awareness and other sensory experiences.
For some children, these differences can affect play, learning, transitions, feeding, dressing or participation in everyday activities.
Your role is to understand these responses within the context of the individual child and use appropriate occupational therapy strategies to support participation and functional development.
Work in Early Intervention
Early childhood is an important period for developing communication, movement, play, self-care and participation skills.
We therefore value Occupational Therapists who have experience or training in early intervention for infants, toddlers and young children with developmental delays or emerging developmental needs.
The work requires more than interacting effectively with the child.
It also requires understanding the family’s routines, priorities and environment.
Coach Parents and Caregivers
Progress should not depend entirely on what happens during a therapy session.
Parents often want to support their child but may not know what to practise, how much help to provide or how to adapt an activity when their child struggles.
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Wellness Hub, you will help caregivers understand therapy goals and show them practical ways to support appropriate skills within everyday routines.
The aim is not to turn parents into therapists.
It is to give them enough clarity and confidence to reinforce useful skills naturally between sessions.
Collaborate With a Multidisciplinary Child Development Team
Children’s developmental needs often overlap across disciplines.
A child working on motor planning may also need communication support. A child with sensory challenges may be working simultaneously on play, behavior, language or independence.
At Wellness Hub, you will have opportunities to collaborate with professionals including:
- Speech therapists
- Behavioral therapists
- Special educators
- Psychologists
- Other child development professionals
Multidisciplinary collaboration allows the team to look at the whole child rather than treating individual skills in isolation.
You will also be responsible for maintaining clear clinical documentation and tracking relevant progress over time.
Deliver Teletherapy Within Centre Hours
The role may also include online occupational therapy sessions delivered through our teletherapy platform.
Online therapy responsibilities are scheduled within normal centre hours.
You may need to guide both the child and caregiver during these sessions and adapt activities based on the materials, physical environment and support available at home.
This requires clear communication and the ability to translate therapeutic goals into practical instructions.
Bring Your OT Experience Into BASICS
One feature that makes this Pediatric Occupational Therapist role different from many traditional clinical positions is the opportunity to contribute to BASICS.
The challenge with home-based developmental activities is rarely just creating more activities.
The real challenge is making sure an activity is:
- Clinically meaningful
- Developmentally appropriate
- Safe
- Easy for parents to understand
- Realistic to perform at home
- Adaptable for different developmental needs
That requires clinical judgment.
As an Occupational Therapist, you may contribute expertise to areas including:
- Fine motor skills
- Bilateral coordination
- Sensory processing
- Motor planning
- Visual-motor development
- Daily living skills
- Functional independence
- Home-based occupational therapy activities
You may help design, review and refine parent instructions, activities, teaching resources and demonstration videos.
A therapist may immediately understand why an activity matters.
A parent seeing it for the first time may not.
Your role is to help bridge that gap.
You Do Not Need Previous Product Experience
Some therapists may see the product component of this role and assume that technology experience is required.
It is not.
We are looking for your Occupational Therapy expertise, not software development experience.
Our technology and design teams handle product development.
Your contribution is knowing when an activity is clinically sound, when instructions might confuse a parent, when an adaptation is needed and when something that works in a controlled therapy environment may not work the same way in a family home.
Curiosity and willingness to collaborate with professionals outside your discipline are enough to get started.
Who Should Apply?
You may be a strong candidate for this Pediatric OT position if you have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Appropriate professional registration or licensure where applicable
- Around 1–2 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience
Exceptional fresh graduates with strong pediatric clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge, clinical exposure or training related to:
- Pediatric occupational therapy
- Sensory integration
- Sensory processing challenges
- Early intervention
- Developmental delays
- Motor development
- Fine motor skills
- Daily living skills
- Parent coaching
Clinical knowledge alone, however, is not enough.
Strong Pediatric Occupational Therapists also need patience, observation skills and the ability to build trust with children and caregivers.
The Qualities We Value
We are looking for someone who can develop a genuine rapport with children while maintaining thoughtful clinical reasoning.
You should be comfortable communicating with parents in language they can understand rather than relying unnecessarily on clinical terminology.
Good documentation habits are important because clear records help the team understand progress and make better treatment decisions.
We also value professionals who remain open to learning.
Pediatric practice changes as evidence develops and every child brings different needs into the therapy room.
Being willing to reconsider an approach when it is not working is a strength, not a weakness.
Why Join Wellness Hub?
The biggest difference is the potential reach of your clinical expertise.
When you find an effective adaptation during a therapy session, that insight normally helps the child you are working with.
At Wellness Hub, the same clinical insight may also improve an activity or teaching resource that can eventually support other families.
Your contribution therefore operates at two levels:
Direct clinical impact — helping the children and families you work with personally.
Broader clinical impact — helping improve structured resources that families can use outside the therapy room.
You will also work alongside practitioners from different disciplines, giving you opportunities to learn from perspectives beyond Occupational Therapy.
