Welcome to BASICS AI (“the App”), a child-focused learning and development app by Wellness Hub.

BASICS AI is designed to support parents and caregivers in guiding their child’s communication, language, and early learning development through personalized goals, daily activity plans, and therapist-designed resources.

Protecting the privacy and safety of children and families is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the rights parents and caregivers have regarding their child’s data.

Who This App Is For

BASICS AI is intended for:

• Parents and caregivers (account holders)
• Children under 13 years of age, using the app only under parental supervision

Parents or legal guardians create and manage the account and control all data related to their child.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to personalize learning, track progress, and improve the app experience.

Parent / Account Information

Collected when a parent creates an account:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Login credentials (securely stored)

This information is used for account access, support, and communication.

Child Profile Information

Collected during onboarding:

• Child’s name or nickname
• Date of birth (used to calculate age band)
• Gender (used only for personalization of examples and reports)

Each child profile is stored separately under the parent’s account.

Developmental & Learning Information

Collected through app usage:

• Selected focus areas (speech, language, social communication, etc.)
• Parent responses to milestone questions
• Parent reflections and concerns (open-text inputs)
• Assigned goals and goal status (active, suggested, completed, etc.)
• Activity interactions (completed, replaced, skipped)
• Ratings and progress logs

This data allows BASICS AI to:

• Create personalized goals
• Generate daily visual schedules
• Track learning progress over time

Usage & Device Information

Automatically collected:

• App usage patterns (screens visited, features used)
• Crash logs and error reports
• Device type, operating system, and app version

This information helps us improve performance, stability, and usability.

Information We Do NOT Collect

To be clear, BASICS AI:

• ❌ Does not collect location data
• ❌ Does not collect contacts or photos
• ❌ Does not access the camera or microphone
• ❌ Does not run background tracking
• ❌ Does not collect advertising identifiers
• ❌ Does not show third-party ads

How We Use the Information

We use collected information only to:

• Create a personalized learning and goal plan for each child
• Generate daily visual schedules and activities
• Track progress and improvements over time
• Allow parents to review, adjust, or update goals
• Improve app quality, content relevance, and system accuracy
• Provide customer support and respond to parent queries

We do not use children’s data for advertising or marketing.

AI and Personalization

BASICS AI uses rule-based logic and AI-assisted systems to:

• Analyze parent-provided inputs
• Generate summaries, goals, and schedules
• Improve recommendations based on progress and feedback

AI outputs are supportive tools, not medical diagnoses.

No automated decisions have legal or significant real-world impact on users.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

Data may be shared only in the following limited cases:

Service Providers

We may share necessary data with trusted service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., hosting, analytics, error monitoring). These providers are contractually required to protect data and use it only for service delivery.

These may include: hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics and crash-reporting tools, our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat), and AI service providers that process the text and inputs you provide (such as reflections and milestone responses) to generate goals, summaries, and schedules. All providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to deliver these services.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of users or Wellness Hub.

Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

BASICS AI offers optional premium features through an auto-renewing subscription.

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) and include a free trial period where offered.
• Payments are processed securely through Apple’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android). BASICS AI never receives or stores your card, bank, or payment details.
• Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Purchases are protected by the parental controls of your Apple or Google account. Children cannot make purchases independently.
• Refunds are governed by Apple’s and Google’s respective refund policies.
• We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service provider, to validate purchases and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives only the data needed to confirm your subscription and does not receive your payment details.

Parental Rights & Controls

Parents and legal guardians have full control over their child’s data.

You can:

• View and edit your child’s profile
• Update goals, reflections, and schedules
• Review progress logs and activity history
• Request corrections or deletion of data

Children cannot make purchases or change account settings independently.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain data only as long as the account is active.

Account Deletion

Parents can delete their account directly from within the app.

Once deleted:

• All child profiles
• All goals, activities, and logs
• All associated personal data

are permanently removed from our systems.

For assistance, parents may also contact us directly.

Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect information, including:

• Secure servers
• Encrypted connections
• Restricted internal access

While no system is 100% secure, we continuously work to safeguard user data.

Third-Party Links

BASICS AI does not redirect children to external websites.

Any external links, if shown, are intended for parents and require parental action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features, laws, or practices.

If changes are significant:

• We will notify users within the app or through appropriate communication
